Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science (MBITS) is established by Mar Thoma Cheria Pally, Kothamangalam,which is a six century old parish Church and pilgrim centre, relied upon by millions of devotees for solace and fulfillment.  The Church runs the institution through Mar Baselios Educational and Charitable Trust.  The institution is named after Eldho Mar Baselios, the most sacred saint of the Jacobite Syrian Church.  The saint undertook an arduous journey, from the Holy Land to Malankara, to give spiritual guidance to followers of the church.  This Holy Father was called to eternal abode from Kothamangalam.  The mortal relics of this Spiritual Father is entombed in the shrine at Mar Thoma Cheria Pally. MBITS aspires to provide technical knowledge to the youth to face and conquer the challenges of the professional world effectively.  Thus the coming up generation can become the part and parcel of bright future of great India.
